The Client: Afterpay

 

The Brief: Afterpay has transformed the way people pay by allowing shoppers to receive products immediately and pay in simple instalments over a short period of time. The Afterpay business, founded by Nick Molnar and Anthony Eisen, is growing at a rapid rate with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, New York, San Francisco and millions of customers globally! The Phoenix team were honoured to deliver the Afterpay Global Staff Conference in December 2019. We were engaged to create a 2-day conference for Afterpay staff; bringing together Afterpay employees globally to Melbourne for keynote sessions, workshops, breakout sessions and social events where they would feel inspired and motivated. Phoenix were responsible for all logistics and delivery of the event including conference management, all staff travel and accommodation, registration management, content development, styling and concept design, production and execution of social events, sub-contractor documentation, all activations and entertainment, food & beverage management, on-site signage, bump in and bump out duties.

 

The Result: Phoenix created LIFT OFF 2020. 2 content-packed conference days, 500 staff from around the globe, 15 main stage speakers, 6 spotlight sessions and 1 EPIC party.  We gave Afterpay the opportunity to unite as a global team and launch to the next level together. In the words of Anthony Eisen, Managing Director and CEO at Afterpay ‘passion, creativity and flawless execution – this wouldn’t have happened without Phoenix and we are certainly looking forward to the next event together.’
