Clinical Labs End of Year Celebration Virtual Event 2020

Project Description

Background

Clinical Labs staff and organisation was one of the company’s directly impacted but the severity of the pandemic here in Australia. Anthony Fridelli, Chief Operation Officer for Clinical Labs Australia, reached out to our Phoenix team with one objective. ‘Can you create a virtual event that will put smiles on the faces of my staff?’ We were asked to put together an event that was fun and light-hearted, an event that would be remembered fondly and positively amongst the staff, in a year that has brought so much heartache.

The Brief

As a team, we really challenged ourselves to not only meet this objective but go above and beyond their request. We decided to create their very own ‘Clinical Labs – Live Virtual Concert’. Completely bespoke and tailored to their staff only. An exclusive night of music & entertainment just for them. We reached out to all of our incredible local Aussie artists to try and pull together a fantastic lineup of talent and fun.

We were able to achieve an event that was fun, engaging, authentic, moving, and most importantly an event they will always remember fondly in a year that was their most challenging.

The Solution

This virtual event was unique as it was completely tailored to meet the needs of Clinical Labs. We approached this event with the utmost respect and understood how delicate the audience was. It was very important to us to create an event that was totally bespoke and exclusive to them only.

Being a virtual event we had to work within the virtual limitations, however, we were still able to bring an extensive live and creative agenda to the Clinical Lab’s team.

To achieve this outstanding experience for the Clinical Labs staff we were fortunate enough to get 3 incredibly talented artists to perform live on the night; Reece Mastin, who won the third season of The X Factor Australia in 2011 performed a 30-minute live performance directly from his home, he also spoke to the guests throughout the performance, took song requests and made them feel very special. Plus a live 30-minute performance from Kiki, Kiki is an Aria award-winning artist pianist & singer. Finally, we added to the event an interactive section where we created our own take on the famous ABC spicks and specks television show. Where we engaged Brihony Dawson, (local MC & presenter) to ask our guests musical questions, we also got Reece & Kiki involved in the game by playing some of the musical questions live.

We got them dancing in their homes, singing into their screens, in some cases we had staff singing the full chorus on their own, we had virtual standing ovations, we had laughter and lots of clapping and cheering.

The Results

Being a virtual event we had to work within the virtual limitations, however, we were still able to bring an extensive live and creative agenda to the Clinical Labs team – they were blown away with the talent and the creative idea of their very own Clinical Labs spicks and specks game.  As the budget was a little limited, we needed fantastic Aussie talent to bring this to life.  We Are Phoenix had to dig deep and reach out to our networks, negotiate rates for their performance fees that both parties were happy with. Fortunately, the talent we engaged were incredible to work with and very accomodating.

The Clinical Labs End of Year Celebration was an event that was fun, engaging, authentic, moving, and most importantly an event they will always remember fondly in a year that was one of their most challenging.

Phoenix Creative is the quintessential small event company. For me, a small event company needs to provide a great personalized experience. Providing that for clients is imperative. For artists, it’s almost always overlooked. Phoenix looks after their talent. From the moment of inquiry, there’s always a friendly and hard-working person at the other end of the line. They trust my creativity and ideas and always create an environment where I can perform at my best. When I’m working with Phoenix, I know I’m respected and valued for my talents… The people who make you feel like that ought to be cherished and celebrated
