ADOPT CHANGE GALA, KIRRIBILLI HOUSE, SYDNEY 2017

Project Description

The Client:  Adopt Change

Phoenix has been engaged to work as the official event organiser for all Adopt Change events.  As an on going client Phoenix was asked to design and deliver a very special VIP Cocktail evening at Kirribilli House, Sydney NSW on Thursday 14th December 2017.  Debra-lee Furness is the Founder of Charity Organisation Adopt Change and this night was held to commemorate 10 years of supporting National Adoption Awareness week. The guest list included husband and Adopt Change advocate Hugh Jackman, Gina Reinhart, Angela Bishop and Minister Hon Pru Goward to name a few.

The brief:  Simplicity using soft colours, primarily white, elegant entertainment, beautifully displayed yet tasty food and drinks delivered differently rather than your standard beer, wine and soft drink.  Amber and her team designed a carefully crafted yet stunning palate of furniture and food. On arrival guests were greeted with white and cream peonies, a white chesterfield bar with the Sydney Harbour as it’s backdrop, serving a signature event cocktail called ‘bed of roses’ by award winning barman from Four Pillars Gin distillery.  The grounds were surrounded by white high top tables, with the peony arrangements and grazing boards, huge white foam letters spelling out ‘ADOPT CHANGE’ rested on the bank of the hill with the Sydney Harbour view behind. Guests enjoyed a string quartet through the event and as a surprise guest, Sally Cooper, award winning violinist performed on a tall white plinth with the Harbour behind her to an adoring crowd.

The Result: Very successful evening to celebrate a very important cause for Adoption Awareness week here in Australia. Phoenix has since been engaged to manage all of Adopt Change future Event schedule for 2018 / 2019
