Background

The WeMoney Financial Wellness Summit 2025 took place on Monday 3 November 2025 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney. Hosted by financial-wellness platform WeMoney, the Summit brought together over 300 attendees and 35 speakers across two stages.

Set against the backdrop of unprecedented household debt, cost-of-living pressure and a widening financial literacy gap in Australia, the Summit aimed to re-imagine what “a fair go” in financial wellbeing can look like.

Objective

Unite leaders from finance, policy, academia and innovation to build a collective roadmap toward financial resilience and inclusion for all Australians.

Spark bold ideas and actionable change around financial literacy, affordability and technology-driven empowerment.

Raise the profile of WeMoney as a thought-leader in financial wellbeing and as a platform driving meaningful change in the Australian ecosystem.

  • Attracted 300+ attendees and 35 high-calibre speakers, including globally recognised behavioural economist Dan Ariely.

Concept Design

The Summit design centred on a premium experience that mirrored both the seriousness of the topics and an elevated event production standard.

  • A dual-stage format featuring headline keynote Dan Ariely, followed by panels and deep-dive sessions with influential voices such as Alan Kohler, Melinda Cilento and Lynda Edwards.
  • An environment at the Art Gallery of NSW that blended institutional gravitas with modern production values — signage, lighting, AV and networking zones, all carefully curated to reflect the brand's forward-thinking vision.
  • An agenda that encouraged multiple touch-points between delegates, speakers and the fintech/wellness community, including networking receptions and a dedicated Summit app for agenda, connection and follow-up.
  • A strong narrative thread of “fairness, inclusion and behaviour” — recognising that financial wellbeing is not just about products but about human decision-making, systemic structures and inclusion of traditionally underserved communities.
